THE BRUC TEXTILE WAREHOUSE
Headquarters de AAA
At the heart of the “right” Eixample, where the Bruc and Mallorca streets intersect, we finally found a corner where we could set up our office. For months we had been thinking of the possibility of moving and setting up our definitive headquarters somewhere with character. We did not want a conventional office, in a cold building with two lifts and a bland business directory.
As a company passionate about the rehabilitation of abandoned spaces, we went the extra mile to find the place that met our specifications. We wish we could spice up this text with a story of an adventurous quest that led us to discover our corner of the world, but we’re sorry to disappoint. We found it on the idealista, the humdrum real estate portal. In a regal estate we found an old textile warehouse that belonged to a family from Lleida.
Under layers of dust, cardboard boxes, useless tools and machinery, it boasted all the features we were looking for: high, Catalan-vault ceilings, old brick walls and forged steel pillars over 100 years old. “This is it”, we said. Today we have turned it into our professional, 200 m2 office space for 9 people. Inés Sorensen, the architect in charge of rehabilitation, perfectly reflected the way we work and rehabilitate old buildings. Stop by for a visit whenever you wish!
